This Rug is hand knotted in Northern Afghanistan in and around the town of Kundus, one of the principal marketing centres in the North. Khan Mohammadi carpets are woven by several different people producing various designs including traditional â€˜gul or fil-pai and the star of Solomon. They are generally woven using Afghan Karaqul wool in an assortment of warm and deep reds and maroons. Hand knotted, Wool pile woven on wool weft and warp, Vegetable dyes, Perfect condition.

Warp: cotton yarn
Knot density: 120 000 â€“ 200 000 knots per square meter.
The colours of the rug look different depending on the angle from which you look at it.
