Goltogh (also spelled Goltuk) is a a small village in Kurdistan, Iran (Persia). Goltogh, rugs often depict small figures and geometric patterns. Not to confuse with nearby Bidjar, Tekab, Sahendej or Bidgeneh Carpets. Many also cary the famous Diamond Herati Design which is now mainly used in Bidjar Rugs and carpets. The Quality and colours of Goltogh Rugs are striking. Nearby towns are Zanjān, known for its knives and cutlery where also Bidjar is traded from. Goltoghs are great little carpets and very reasonably priced here at Uri Jacobi Oriental Carpets.
